Colophon
A peek behind the making of this portfolio.
This site was entirely designed and coded by me, using plain old HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I use a bit of Tailwind and AlpineJS here and there for some more advanced features, like the command palette. All the code is open-source and available on Github under the MIT license.
I design, prototype, and test everything directly in the code, inside VS Code.
Typography is mostly just the default system UI fonts for now. There's a bit of Libre Baskerville sprinkled in too. Icons are from Lucide, a free and open-source icon set built by an amazing community.
Huge thanks to Thu Le, her work has been a major source of inspiration for this site.
I use Umami for analytics. It's open-source and privacy-focused. I simply want to know how people use my site (how you discover it, what pages you visit, etc.).That's it. No tracking, no ads, no cookies, no data collection.
And just so you know, this website is cleaner than 94% of all web pages globally. Only 0.03g of CO2 is produced every time someone visits it.
Finally, here's a list of websites and portfolios that have inspired me along the way. It's unordered, and will grow over time. You can find more carefully selected sites like these on Dead Simple Sites.
