What do I even want to become?
This page is part of the someday page movement. Here, you'll get a glimpse into my future. If you just want to know who I am, see my About page. And if you want to know more about what I'm up to, see my Now page.
I. Someday I would like to find a job that perfectly combines state-of-the-art AI, robotics, and design.
I love tech and pure, hardcore science, but design is a core part of who I am, and it cannot remain just a side aspect of my life. Studying STEM is demanding and the path to becoming an engineer is not easy, but the opportunities it opens up are incredible.
II. Someday I would like to move to and live in a Nordic country like Denmark or Sweden.
The quality of life there seems incredible. I've done a two-week trip in Scandinavia, and I really liked the culture, the people, and the overall vibe! France, where I was born and have lived all my life, is of course far from bad. However, I deeply need a change of landscape and culture at some point in my life (I'm one of those people who likes change, moves things around in their life just for the sake of it, and I know I'm not alone!)
III. And some more short-term goals
Someday I would like to enter Silicon Valley's tech world and really grasp what they are up to, from the inside.
Someday I would like to take everything I know about UI design and finally dive into proper graphic design, not just interfaces and layouts. Making posters will be my first step into the world of graphic design.
Someday I'll create a small yet sophisticated audio setup at home to properly listen to music. I'm getting a bit tired of the mid-tier headsets and portable speakers I've owned all my life. I really need high-quality audio in my life, and I want to discover what music actually is.
So, from all of this, I guess I can extract a little bucket list:
- Start my journey as an engineering student
- Spend at least one year living in Denmark or Sweden, properly settled, not just as a tourist
- Visit the US and do a West Coast trip from San Francisco down to Los Angeles, stopping in Silicon Valley on the way
- Spend a week in New York, just walking, taking photos, and visiting museums and design shops
- Do an internship or short-term job in a company where AI, hardware and design truly meet, even if it is just for a few months
- Buy my first high-end speaker, even if it starts small with a portable speaker
